A dedicated tribute to the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War. Located in a serene setting in Amherst, Ohio on North Lake Street, this memorial honors the sacrifices and service of local veterans who fought in one of the most challenging conflicts in American history.

The memorial, dedicated on June 23, 2007, features a statue listing 98 names of the fallen heroes from Lorain County in the order they died, ensuring their legacy is preserved and remembered by future generations. Visitors to the site can reflect on the courage and dedication of these veterans, making the memorial a place of remembrance, respect, and education about the impacts of the Vietnam War.

An annual “Reading of the Names” ceremony is held at the memorial, where volunteers read the names of each fallen soldier, with a bell rung for each name. More information can be found on their Facebook page.
