Veteran Appreciation Trip to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force

We’re excited to invite Lorain County veterans to join us on another unforgettable Veteran Appreciation Trip – this time to the National Museum of the United States Air Force near Dayton, Ohio! This all-expense-paid event is our way of honoring the service and sacrifice of our local heroes while offering a chance to explore one of the most remarkable military museums in the country.

What to Expect

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force is the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world. With more than 360 aerospace vehicles and missiles on display, veterans and their guests will enjoy exhibits covering every era of aviation history—from the Wright Brothers to modern stealth aircraft. Spread across multiple hangars, this self-guided experience allows visitors to explore at their own pace and interact with immersive displays featuring flight simulators, historic artifacts, and personal stories of airmen and women.

Lunch Details

To keep everyone fueled for the day, we’ll be providing box lunches during the visit. When registering, participants will need to choose one of the following options:

🥬 Vegetarian Splendor Wrap

🍗 Pesto Chicken Wrap

Each lunch also includes chips, a cookie, and bottled water. Please be sure to make your selection when registering so we can accommodate your preference!

Dinner at Golden Corral

After a full day of exploration, we’ll wrap up the trip with a hearty dinner at Golden Corral in Beavercreek, Ohio. With an all-you-can-eat buffet offering everything from carved meats and classic comfort food to fresh salads and desserts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This trip is completely free and open to all Lorain County veterans. A guest is welcome, and transportation will be provided by private charter bus. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Join us for a day of honor, discovery, and community – because your service deserves to be celebrated!
